How would you describe your Hub?
The Child and Family Wellbeing Hub is a 'no wrong door' referral service, linking families to any agency to best support the needs of families, parenting and child wellbeing.
It's available to any family requiring assistance in the Clarence Valley Local Government Area, and is supported by a full-time First 2000 Days Programs Manager, two part-time (3 days/week) co-ordinators, and a social worker (2 days/week).

Can you share one or two benefits of your Hub?
The Hub is available to any family, and there are no limitations to income or asset capacity. All services are free of charge.
What is one thing your Hub is doing to help children and families feel connected or supported?
As a soft-entry, welcoming and culturally-safe environment, the Hub has enabled engagement with families that are often ‘hard to reach’. Since inception, 35 % of the Hub’s clients have been of Aboriginal decent. The Hub has also connected families to other families and community members with similar support needs, and has linked children and families to age-appropriate parenting groups.
How does your Hub help services or professionals work together to make things easier for families?
The Child and Family Wellbeing Hub actively works to collaborate with our partner agencies, and other service providers in Clarence Valley to ensure each service is working for the best outcomes of children and families.
“I didn’t have family or community support, and the Hub has been that for me.”

We've learned that mutual collaboration and engagement with our partner agencies and services is the most effective form of support, and ensures best practice and the best outcomes for children and families.
What is one thing that would make your Hub even better?
A fit for purpose Hub location on a ground floor level, an open, native garden space for play, a Conference room, individual family rooms, clinical Rooms, and spaces for multi-agency service delivery.
